Fictional learning scenario: The buyer, candidates and replies below are illustrative, not a verified customer case or a FindBao supplier endorsement. A buyer wants to test a pendant light with a metal body and glass shade in two sales markets. The reference image shows appearance. Electrical supply, labels, instructions and applicable testing must be checked for each final model and destination.
Separate the two configurations before asking for prices
Every candidate receives the same image and size brief. The buyer creates configuration A for market one and configuration B for market two. Each records the intended supply conditions, driver and light source, body and shade materials, installation parts, packing, destination and documents to review. Unknown requirements are marked “to confirm” rather than guessed by a supplier.
Why three replies cannot be ranked by unit price
| Candidate | Reply | Missing evidence |
|---|---|---|
| A | Closest appearance and lowest price, but one driver and one label for both markets. | No distinct market configurations; model and component scope of reports unclear. |
| B | Separate drivers, wiring, labels and packing for each market; sample and testing costs itemized. | Documents still need checking against final parts and installation. |
| C | Promises both markets, but quotes only “make as picture.” | No bill of materials, report scope, packing test or delivery terms. |
A lower number does not establish a like-for-like offer. The buyer asks all three to clarify components, sample and test charges, packing, MOQ, lead time and trade terms before comparing totals.
Decision and sample gate
The buyer asks B for two configuration lists and documents tied to the final models, then orders samples for review. A and C can re-enter the comparison after closing their gaps. Samples are checked for appearance, temperature rise, light color, mounting parts, shade protection and transit damage. The buyer determines the applicable destination-market requirements; a certificate or quote email alone is not a complete compliance conclusion.
Open questions and output
The record still needs owners for sample and test costs, approval of component substitutions, breakage handling, and alignment of contracting and payee entities. The output is a market-by-market configuration and response sheet, not a list of “cheapest factories.” FindBao may assist with sourcing, inquiries and quote comparison; buyers arrange document verification, inspection and freight separately.
